[quote:John_the_Baptist (nli! nl!) 566616:MV8xMTAxMjE0XzE3NTczMDU0X0Q3NENBMjQ0] I camped the Great Smokey Mountains once, raned constantly. The day after I left, a couple were drowned in their tent as the creek waters overspilled the banks and washed them away. Try getting out of a sleeping bag and a tent while you're underwater. Go on. Try it. Then you'll understand.
Can someone explain to me or show me a video of how people die in floods? 17 people recently died in a state park. I dont understand how people die from flooding, unless you dont know how to swim or pulled under by a mud slide. Water i know can be a powerful substance with enough pressure. But ive rafted on the Colorado river before and the rapids are 10x faster than a flood's. So i dont get it. Please explain....
