[quote:Krispy71:MV8xMTEzNTg2XzIyODY5NjYxXzRDMDFEOEZF] [quote:Rken 1290596] [quote:Blue Et 1148411] [quote:rken 1290596] Concerning native forms: I live in Hawaii. Hawaii is a volcano or group of volcanoes. When they rose out of the sea there was no native flora or fauna. But today we find flora and fauna that are said to be native to Hawaii. How can native flora and fauna arise from a mass of lava flowing from the sea bed. It can't, it was all imported. So what is it we call native, something that has existed long enough in this environment to evolve and change to the point where it is not found on any other land mass? This lead me to question what is native to this planet. From whence did life originate. Did it evolve on this planet or is all life on this planet a transplant from somewhere else just as the basic elements of this planet did not originate from here. So is Augie native or an import? Did life originate here or catch a ride on an astroid? How long must an organism exist in its environment to become native and unique to said environment. Is Augie such a canidate? It is said to be ancient. Just some musing in view of the controversy that continues to rage over our mysterious friend/enemy. rken
stand alone scientist Fred Hoyle said a long time ago plant life on Earth does not make sense. It looks green to us because it reflects that sector of the colour spectrum back at us, strange thing to do when green fits right in the middle of that spectrum, living of light as plants do to be efficient on earth they should be black and absorb all light, anyway without a doubt the human race as we know it does not appear to be a native of earth but a mix of import and anything else you might care to name
Thank you for your very relative points. I would also suggest that we lack enough information to answer some of the question I asked. Is there perhaps another way to gain information about angie. Science tells use that all life is connected and communicates, instantaniously across time and space. Can we perhaps communicate with angie? Much like the studies done with plants and pets knowing when their owners are in trouble. I believe we can. It has been my experience from the beginning of this thread, that when I tune into angie, I sense no hostility what so ever. What I experience is a sense of anticipation, and excitement, waiting for things to occure that will change life on this planet as we know it. Not in a bad way. This organism has a group memory as do we, that extends far into the past, to when the types of events we are experiencing now, once transpired. This time in earths history was one of unity, and conscious connected, a view point, understanding and appreciation for all life forms on this planet and how integral each is to life on the planet. If we step back for just a moment we see the same thing happening around us now. Peoples awareness of the interconnectedness of life is growing. Through the awareness we call environmentalism. More and more people are becoming aware of how the earth works as a whole and that the life forms on this planet have there place in the scheme of things. As people we are slow to change and usually only do when the pain of staying where we are at becomes greater then the pain of changing and moving forward. A crisis point is created. Then we change. Why should the present be any different. We are all getting a glimpse of the future if we do not make the changes that are needed at this time. How much discomfort we experience is totally up to us and our willingness to embrace the needed changes or resist them. In coming. rken
nice words, nice thoughts Rken :)
