[quote:Krispy71:MV8xMTEzNTg2XzI1NzA2MjUxXzgzRjc0QTRD] I wanna bring one of the pinned threads under the attention, not the thread itself but the subject. So sad to see the posts that are colored with prejustice and brainwashed media output. China Not Scared of Nuclear Power Plants http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1556139/pg1 Lets take some posts under a magnifying glas :) (The bolded parts are added by me and underline important statements.) -First post from the OP: [quote:Reddy kilowatt 1460051] Why should we be? ... China nuclear power plants 27 new, completely new, nuclear power plants are going on-line by 2015 in China. Mainland China has 14 nuclear power reactors in operation, more than 25 under construction, and more about to start construction soon. Additional reactors are planned, including some of the world's most advanced, to give more than a ten-fold increase in nuclear capacity to at least 80 GWe* by 2020, 200 GWe by 2030, and 400 GWe by 2050. China is rapidly becoming self-sufficient in reactor design and construction, as well as other aspects of the fuel cycle. In 2006, most of mainland China's electricity was produced from fossil fuels (80% from coal, 2% from oil, 1% from gas) and hydropower (15%). *A gigawatt is equal to one billion watts. http://www.world-nuclear.org/info/inf63.html
- Below an interresting post, someone who has his brain wired different :) We should look deeper into this "0 negative emission"-thing ... [quote:Anonymous Coward 846701] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1460605] Yes but I heard China has the new nuclear tech with 0 negative emissions. Tech that the US threw away because it was not "economically" profitable.
No, it was economically profitable, it just wasn't capable of producing weapons grade material that the US military wanted.
The bolded line above states perfectly that China is not re-develloping this technology FOR WEAPONS !!! So there has to be an other motive that China wants to use and perfect this type of energy-providence ... - Then the OP states that hina is drawing from the leading technology centers worldwide, and that they are going to dominate the uranium industry, the reactor construction industry, the reactor research industry, etc. This is not right coz China is doing devellopment and reasearch into the THORIUM industry !!! So they are NOT going to dominate the Uranium industry ... sad that some people read so badly, and react so impulsively and shortsighted ... - [quote:Anonymous Coward 1460671] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1450292] If they are thorium based, I wouldn't be afraid either.
It is the biggest gamble that has ever been undertaken on a national scale anywhere in the history of Earth. It is not about economic growth, not exports; it has the markings of survival planning. Country wide energy independence that is necessary not because energy needs will be in scarce supply in the future and difficult to import; but rather a scenario where by energy will not be available for import AT ANY PRICE; not available under any circumstances. It's energy home cooking on a mega-gigantic scale. It's the Great Wall times a trillion. It's the revolution of all revolutions. It the Manhattan Project times a trillion. It's the Space Program times a trillion. It's whatever leap forward you can name times a trillion. It's so big it defies description. And it is happening now, right now.
The bolded line in the quote above sais it perfectly ! China has a responsability to its citezens and tries to become selfsufficient. I think a smart move coz much in the media is directed to put China in a negative light. It is clear that China breaks free from the killing and dominative situations at worldscale when it comes to try to be or stay a worldpower. Dependancy and dominion have a tight relationship .. the one never goes without the other. It is so telling that many posts are tainted with racism and envy !!! Just like being evyous coz your neighbourkid got a newer toy and you did not ... YUK !!! It is clear that China's efforts to stand on its own feed are an eyesore to the US and other powers that are united in the leading worldpowers. All they see is "threats" everywhere ... So sad ! Growing towards undependancy is the same -in TPTB their opinion- as an agresive act, and in their eyes can only be the next step towards domination of the world. Tssss... - Nice vid in the quote below. [quote:Anonymous Coward 1450292] -snipped other quotes- Thorium fuel cycle can use our current radioactive waste as fuel and reduce the half lives of this waste from millions of years down to 300 years. Better than nothing at all.
[quote:Anonymous Coward 1460780] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1460739] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1450292] If they are thorium based, I wouldn't be afraid either.
[glpvideo]http://video.godlikeproductions.com/video/China_shows_the_world_nuclear_can_be_safe_-_RT_110705?id=4a4feb357a40bc87f48[/glpvideo]
WTF why would an authoritarian communist government need to worry about convincing the PUBLIC about what is will use to provide their electricity.. WTF??? And if all the new reactors are to be Thorium reactors then it does significantly increase the safety... I would still bet that they would not dare build them in the capital cities though.
The "WTF" reaction from the poster above is so great !! The fact that a Communist Chinese Government is thinking about its citezens is so out of the BOX for him, but not to me !! It is again a show of the real caracter and intentions that the Chinese Government has choosen to act on ! RESPONSABILITY and more working on a RESPECTFULL and win-win basis for them all. A "COMM-UNITY" instead of COMUNISM/dictatoriasm. The only right way into the future ! - Now lets look a bit more what the drivers of their actions could be. China does not seems to be an egocentrical nation at this point, they have builded many ghost-towns to harbor a lot of people one day ... It makes one think about the briefcases; did China knew on forhand about plans of TPTB to attack and threaten Japan (and maybe other nations) and were the briefcases and particulary the Japanse one > instructions what to do in case of disaster ??? (like Fuku ... and why it would be important to use SEAwater for the reactors >>> to attract the jellyfish !!! and use the abilities of the AU-organism !!!), or did some aliens told them about it and convinced the Chinese that such devellopments (cities) would be nescasary in the near future. Aliens cant intervein in certain "games" that are played out between powers, they are not allowed to dominate us again. Once Japan would understand that they and the Chinese share some ancestrial genes, they would also understand the rest and forget about their old hostilities. The COMMON GOAL -instead of an EXCLISIVE goal- is the key, and the eyesore in all the other OLD ELITE factions ... their nightmare. So is China devellopping all that tech for their own consumption, or is there maybe an other motivation here ? Could they wanna create enough power to powerup old ancient alien tech they might have found? Imo, there is no way that the aliens "just simply" provide them with the energy they need, coz that would be again an action on dependancy basis. Help and advice is welcome but only when the will to be a respected partner, and a responsible part that wants to grow in independancy but still acts in regards to the bigger plan, is there. No foreign, outerspace-race will dominate Earth again .. only those aliens left behind/who stayed behind from long ago will be the ones who will try to dominate the Human Race as long as they can. They cant survive without us, they cant survive when we grow independant .. then they will starve, as victems of their own agenda's and greed/needs, coz we have become their resources and food and slaves. xxx K
