Have you heard of other jelly issues going back? I've not seen anything about that. Could you point me at some places to start? ** Who is this BTW?
The anon from SC who has been here from the get-go. Lived in Okinawa (Japan) as a child more than 50 years ago after WWII and I do not have any link for the jellyfish phenomenon in those waters. Quite impressive to me at that time to see an entire beach covered in blobs of stranded jellyfish. Seem to recall that the man-o-war had blue tentacles and when we saw them while swimming, we had to leave the water.
ACSC?!!!!! :hf: :hugs: So this would appear to be historical, at least for part of last century. Wonder if this coincides with nuclear introduction? Both bombs and power generation. Blue bottles can be a big issue on OZ beaches too. Orible things. They say to get them off, and somewhat neutralise the stings, you should get someone to pee on the area!
The jellies will have to be historical. We had live-in local household help who had endured the horrors of the Japanese invasion of Okinawa during WWII. The jellyfish were nothing new to them.
If the Nomura's are 'immune' to effects of the substance, then might it be that they contain a degree of it, therefor arent effected? I went down the path of maybe it's because they have no brain, but recalled that the substance was able to reannimate dead, and lifeless things, so having a brain isnt the key factor. They were very quick off the mark to find ways of processing and eating these jellies, remember? Again, might someone know what these creatures contain within them, and that the levels are safe enough to ingest, but build up in a Human body? Perhaps to fight something off? Radiation poisoning maybe? Is it just me, or has the vibe changed?
