[quote:Anonymous Coward 1132678:MV8xMTEzNTg2XzE5OTEyMzg4XzhGNjA1NDky] [quote:just ac 1065279] But get a water sample from 1000ft. where the org is alive and well. Too many deseases showing up in the gulf and elsewhere. It worries me. I would expect the disease to be present in the close offshore waters if it's having a direct affect on the residents. Or rainwater samples could be collected if people think that's the way they are being contaminated. Realisticly, there are loads of nutters around that want attention and jump on the band wagon everytime there's something knocking about. We have them all around the world, not just the US. I don't see how anyone can access the truth of whats happening at the GOM without being there first hand and doing there own research, on the ground. It matters not whether the reports are MSM or 'underground' news, they both have agendas. I know it pisses some people off to here any negativity about this subject, but honesty should be paramount, not paranoia. How many people do you know that are ill? I have a place 10 miles from the UK coast and getting a sample of water would be so easy, there are insufficient monitors to cover a large coastline.
Just AC, you're talking about getting a simple lab report on a water sample. What are you going to do with the report? If we get the lab report on a Gulf water sample, what are we going to do with it? Anything we do can land us in jail, and get us fined. Thus, if or when we get our lab report, we have to keep it a secret and make personal plans accordingly. Some may have already done that. We are convinced that Matt Simmons was killed for telling the truth. We want to stay healthy and not be jailed. About illness, no one I know in the Upstate of SC, or in Atlanta is ill. An adult in the family came home from a two-week trip to Myrtle Beach late July with a major inner ear infection which is now cured. He had been warned to stay out of the water, but did not. A neighbor is visiting family in the Montgomery AL area to do some work on the in-laws house. Every member in the entire family living in Alabama who went to the Gulf beaches this summer is ill. Symptoms vary, but include coughing up "green stuff", headaches, muscle aches, general malaise and sores which are not healing properly. They did not get sick at the beach, but got sick after they came home. The neighbor reports that the ill family members do not believe that the trips to the beach have anything to do with their poor health conditions and they are eating Gulf seafood regularly! Not one of us can document that such illness is from something in the Gulf water. Given the circumstances, we need the assistance of public health officials.
