Coupon clippers know how to save big bucks at grocery stores and some department stores. But did you know you could also save thousands of dollars by using coupons online?
Online coupons are offered on everything from cell phones to toys to clothes. This holiday season you can click away and cash in on big savings. But first, you have to learn how to crack the secret codes.
Cyberspace is fast becoming the place to shop for bargains. And for consumers like Michelle Quinones, the secret to saving big bucks online is coupon codes.
"I love them!" asserted Quinones. "I can save anywhere between 10 to 25% using a coupon code."
The codes are sets of numbers or letters that carry discounts on everything from electronics to designer clothes to toys and even shipping.
Online shopping expert Lauren Freedman said, "It´s a growing trend. Over 38% of households in America have used an online coupon."
But Freedman says the problem is most consumers still have no idea the codes even exist.
"It could potentially take some work in digging to find coupon codes," she admitted.
That´s because many retailers give those codes only to select customers. But now, new coupon websites are helping savvy shoppers crack the codes.
"From computers to apparel to books, CDs, videos, you name it… We probably have a coupon for it," promised CouponMountain.com´s Talmadge O´Neill.
Sites like Coupon Mountain and Copious Coupons are partnering up with big name retailers to offer hundreds of coupon codes of their own.
