Ask any questions you like I and I will do my best to answer them.
I'll start from the top. All those ancient empires you've heard of, you know sumeria, babylon, egypt, rome, yadda yadda... They never actually fell. You see whenever an empire reaches a certain size it becomes too unstable to maintain control over it's slaves. This should be obvious as empires of the old days grew by conquest and as you can imagine the slaves that were obtained in such a manner were not too terribly happy about being conquered. In order to maintain control the empire had to transform into something else and better yet the slaves had to think it was their idea. Every time an empire 'fell' there were a few leaders there ready to lead the revolution. These leaders were in fact agents of the falling empires rulers, usually or rather always the upper class, note we still have an upper class today surprise surprise. This was easy to predict, it's called market research today. A ruling class generally conducts 'market research' in order to gather information about public sentiment. Normally this is used to keep the slaves pacified by passing laws and whatnot that slaves might think they want. More importantly one could look at this research and say in one year 5% of a slave population is unruly and would revolt if such a movement gained momentum. The next year one could say 10% of the slave population is unruly and ready for revolution and the next year 15%. One could then say at the current rate of growth the slave population will be ready to rebel against it's government within say 10 years. In this case the ruling class trains and puts in place their own loyal followers as secret agents to lead said revolution, then they start the revolution early by disseminating their own disinformation leading the slaves to become upset and unruly over specific types of laws and policy. These hand picked charismatic agents then lead the revolution and naturally become the leaders of whatever new nation is founded 'by the slaves.' Presto chango the slaves are no longer upset about being part of a nation that conquered them because they are now part of a nation they created themselves yay. Naturally the new leaders slowly but surely lead the slaves back into the very same bondage they thought they just conquered.
This has happened many times throughout history, sumeria, babylon, egypt, rome, numerous dark age type kingdoms. French revolution, not, American revolution, yeah you wish. Anyone else notice how America is an absolute mirror image of aristocracy ruled Rome, albeit with newer technology. Obviously as technology grew so did the means by which to quell the masses so empires can grow fairly large these days.
Things are slightly different now since all the land on Earth has been conquered, but things still need to be shuffled around from time to time. In order for the slaves to need a government they need an enemy for their government to protect them from. This comes from numerous angles, capitalists have their communists, jewish have their muslims, africans have their whites, environmentalists have their oil and so on and so forth. This is why government is referred to as big brother, like your big brother you run to them for protection.
Back to the shuffling part. Even though technology has grown the slaves still become upset about the ever increasing amount of laws, crooked cops and politicians eventually. This is where the old switcheroo takes place, one 'entity' generally starts before another. What I mean is TPTB, AKA the aristocracy, AKA the upper class switch the communist/capitalist balance of power, even positioning if need be. This is not limited to reds v blues but also religious power balance, race power balance. Notice how America is becoming ever more communist while at the same time Russia and China are becoming ever more capitalist? Yeah not the first time this type of thing has happened, you're just not old enough to remember and it's not aptly covered in the history books which are written by companies owned by, you guessed it, the upper class.
The upper class of today is, as you can imagine, only so vastly wealthy because they inherited their wealth and power from their ancestors, which date back to your ancient empires. They also inherited a wealth of knowledge, like how to fool slaves and whatnot.
Ever think about how exactly it is that the upper class own so much. Think about how one owns something, because they buy it from another. Well where did that person get it from, they bought it from someone and so on and so forth. Skip a few and head back to the beginning. How did someone own land that wasn't owned. Simple the just said it was theirs and that was that, later it was handed down and or sold several thousand times until today. Back to that beginning part. How did they own it again...Exactly they simply pissed on a tree and called it theirs, like a dog. They didn't build the land, they didn't put the land their, they put no effort into it whatsoever. In fact they stole the land because it was never actually theirs to begin with. Even today all the land that is owned by banks or real estate establishments. These establishments, or rather people that own these establishments, have never even seen the land, never set foot on it yet it is theres. The land is not being used by anyone for anything, it just sits there doing absolutely nothing, but you can't have it unless you pay for it.
How do you pay for it, well you obtain money. How do you obtain money, by working for the upper class.
