Last-Days Prophecies List
Here is a list of prophecies foretelling events that lead up to the Second Coming of the Messiah. Some have already been fulfilled and some are yet to be fullfilled ... or are visibly in the process of being fulfilled. I believe these Scriptures reveal that we are no longer living in the Last Days on Earth, but rather in the Last Hour. If that idea excites you and fills your heart with unspeakable joy, then you understand God's plan in its fullness!

• Zechariah 8:7 -- Israel As A Nation
For thousands of years, Israel waited for Isaiah 11:11 to be fulfilled. Finally, on May 14, 1948, Israel became a nation and their waiting ceased. This amazing event was augmented on June 7, 1967, when Israel raised its flag and gained control over Jerusalem for the first time in 2,000 years! More recently, there has been a massive return of Jews to Jerusalem from all over the world -- see Ezekiel 36:24
• Daniel 9:27 -- The 7-Year Peace Treaty
This prophecy speaks of a seven-year peace treaty that the so-called antichrist will enforce to "the many" (nations). Many people read this Scripture as saying that the antichrist will present or conduct this peace treaty ... however, a study of the original Hebrew will reveal that what this Scripture truly says is that the antichrist will come along after the peace treaty is in existence ... he will enforce it and cause it to be made strong. (I always believed he would partake in the 7 year peace treaty...but that's ok..this guy is right on though...)
The Temple will be in full operation shortly after this time because in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease; sacrifices and offerings are a part of the Temple services. This means that three and a half years into this time of peace, the peace treaty gets broken and the antichrist desecrates the Holy Temple. This seven-year period is often referred to as The 70th Week of Daniel ... and also speaks of the Great Tribulation** (which begins in the middle of the week) as referred to by Christ, in Matthew 24:15-21.
**Note: Most people mistakenly refer to the Great Tribulation as being a seven-year period ... however, it begins in the midst of the week and is therefore a period of three and a half years; the second half of the 70th Week of Daniel -- see 1st Thessalonians 5:3 -- this is the time of God's Wrath where the seven seals are broken, the seven trumpets are blown and the seven bowls are poured out ... climaxing with the battle of Armegeddon and the Second Coming of the Messiah.

Also: There's nothing that says the 7-Year Peace Treaty and the 7-Year Tribulation both begin and end at the same time. • Ezekiel 38:1-6 -- Russia & Her Allies Attack Israel

Gog is not a name -- it's the title of a leader, meaning high and exalted, refering to the head of the invading forces mentioned. Magog refers to the Scythians which translates to the Soviet Union: Specifically, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan (60 million Muslims live in this area) ... Rosh (seen in some Bible versions) refers to Russia and Meshech/Tubal refers to Moscow. This coalition, overseen by the Soviet Union, arms the following: Persia refers to Iran ... Cush is Ethiopia, now known as Sudan ... Put refers to Libia ... Gomer refers to Turkey (some say East Germany, Poland and Czechoslovakia but that's not an absolute) ... and Beth Togarmah refers to Armenia and other Turks in surrounding areas. All these combined forces conduct an assault against Israel who stands alone in all this.
Further along, in Ezekiel 38:13, we see those who are on the sidelines watching the assault: Sheba and Dedan, which refers to Saudi Arabia ... the merchants of Tarshish, which refers to Britain ... and all the young lions thereof, refers to America, Canada and Australia.
NOTE: As can be seen on all the current news reports today, all of the above is presently progressing into a reality ... in all of 2,500 years of history, ever since Ezekiel wrote the book, these events are now positioning themselves for the first time!
The assault will occur at a time when Israel is "dwelling safely" in the land -- see Ezekiel 38:8, Ezekiel 38:11 and Ezekiel 38:14. There are only two places in the Scriptures where Israel is at peace or dwelling safely ... one is during the Millenium and there is no war that will happen there ... and the other -- the only one that Ezekiel could be referring to -- is after the antichrist appears and brings peace to the world (see Daniel 9:27 - The 7-Year Peace Treaty noted above).
• Jeremiah 50:8-10 -- Babylon Restored
This prophecy points to Babylon being restored on the banks of the Euphrates. Basically, Iraq is Babylon -- which Sadam Hussein spent 30 years rebuilding. He even had coins made featuring himself and Nebuchadnezzar, the ancient King of Babylon, facing each other -- revealing his intentions for equal notoriety. The end of verse 9, in the NIV, reads Their arrows will be like skilled warriors ... -- that sounds a lot like smart bombs to me. Babylon sits some 60 miles south of Iraq ... watch. • Revelation 17:12 -- Ten Horns, Ten Kings & The Beast
This is a prophecy that speaks of The Beast whose number is 666 ... who becomes a world leader and shares his power over the entire earth, for a short time, with ten kings. This guy is commonly referred to as the antichrist ... he hasn't appeared on the scene yet, but the following will show that the time is ripe! It's my belief that the "ten kings" refers to the European Union -- the Revived Roman Empire -- which has been surfacing more and more each year into full play. The E.U. has recently issued their mandates to over 20 nations and have enforced them above the statutes of previously recognized authorities such as the United Nations and NATO, with designs that will fit every nation on earth into ten categories; positioning themselves to become the world power. The E.U. started building its forces in 1951 ... 12 countries joined in 1967 ... by 1991, there were a total of 18 ... and, as of May 2009, 27 nations have become members, with 3 more nations under consideration.
• 2nd Thessalonians 2:3 -- The Rise of Apostacy
This prophecy speaks of a falling away -- generally interpreted as apostasy; that is, a rebellion against religious beliefs that will occur on a broad scale. We've watched this event surfacing and becoming more and more obvious here in America, ever since 1962 when prayer was taken out of schools and, more recently, through the many lawsuits against students for conducting group moments of silence, for conducting group prayer or for producing religious messages ... lawsuits against the Boyscouts of America for claiming their dedication to God ... and through such actions as the removal of the Ten Commandments from schools, courthouses, etc. These events are early signs heralding the coming appearance of the so-called antichrist -- the beast.
NOTE: While I believe the above to be truthful ... that is to say that the apostacy has become a prevalent event in our history, the interpretation of falling away as meaning apostacy in not an accurate interpretation of the original Greek text. The original Greek word there, in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, is apo which means away -- it speaks of a departure from the surface of an object and is probably, more accurately, a reference to the harpazo (aka the Rapture).
• 2nd Thessalonians 2:4 -- The Rebuilding of the Holy Temple
Following the prophecy just mentioned above, the so-called antichrist -- the beast -- will appear claiming to be God himself and desecrating the Holy Temple in Jerusalem -- in the Scriptures, this is called the Abomination of Desolation. It's important to note that the Temple has not existed for more than 1,900 years ... however, the Jews are in very serious planning stages to have it rebuilt! 500 priests are presently in training and a full-scale mock up is now under construction; they want to be sure everything is absolutely correct before they begin rebuilding the real thing. Also, on January 12, 2005 the Sanhedrin reformed for the first time in over 1,600 years, reestablishing the Throne of David and confirming plans for the rebuilding of the Temple.
• Daniel 12:4 -- World Travel & The Information Age
Daniel's prophecy says that in the Last Days knowledge would be increased in a dramatic way and the world population would be very large and extremely active -- running to and fro. How many planes take off every hour from airports around the world? Has knowledge increased since you were a child? Less than seventy years ago most people didn't even have electricity in their homes, much less know what it was like to fly from one place to another. Today, most families have at least two automobiles ... cellphones ... televisions and computers in practically every room of the house ... the internet provides information about anything imaginable, from all over the world -- much of which was previously unattainable ... and knowledge is presently doubling every two years. These are things that could never have been said to be true, throughout all of history, until now.
• Zechariah 14:12 -- The Nutron Bomb Described
Some 2,800 years ago, the prophet Zechariah describes something that certainly had no relationship to anything he could've known himself -- the precise effects of a nutron bomb! Flesh, eyes, and tongues dissolve while people are still standing on their feet ... again, this is something that could never be realized until very recently in history; until the nuclear bomb was created.
• Revelation 11:9 -- Cable/Satellite TV Described
This prophecy speaks of The Two Witnesses who stand on the streets of Jerusalem and prophesy for three and a half years during the Tribulation period. When they finish prophesying, the beast kills them and they lay in the street for three and a half days while every nation on earth looks upon their bodies -- this describes an event that could never take place until cable/satellite television appeared on the scene! Live coverage on CNN ... stay tuned! After three and a half days -- Revelation 11:11-12 -- a breath of life from God enters them, and they stand on their feet again ... those who see this are struck with terror ... then their enemies watch as they rise up off the earth and go to heaven in a cloud.
• Psalm 83 -- The Middle East Crisis | July 2006
construction worker in Ireland discovered this ancient 20-page book while driving his backhoe's shovel into the mud ... it is estimated to be some 1,000 to 1,200 years old. What amazed me was, first, that he didn't scar this unbelievable find in the slightest! Second, that he was brilliant enough to put the book back into the slushy, muddy bog until he could figure out what to do with it -- had he put it on the side and allowed it to start drying out, it would have started deteriorating immediately! And, third, not only that this amazing find surfaced at the very same time as the war between Israel and the Hizbollah broke out but also that it was opened to a Psalm that describes this very war!
The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947, just as the modern state of Israel was being formed ... and now, just before war broke out between Israel and the Hizbollah (July 2006), a miraculous revelation is given. Is this God's way of telling us something?
The National Museum of Ireland's Museum Director, Pat Wallace, issued a statement saying, "In discovery terms, this Irish equivalent to the Dead Sea Scrolls is being hailed by the museum's experts as the greatest find ever from a European bog. It is not so much the fragments themselves, but what they represent, that is of such staggering importance."
The manuscript is seen opened to Psalm 83 which speaks of all those who want to see Israel destroyed and removed from the maps of the world -- Hizbollah, Hamas, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Edom, Moab, Ammon, Tyre, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, among others -- pointing directly at events which are presently unfolding, revealing all these as, indeed, plotting war against Israel.
