If you were standing on the surface of the Moon on that day The Space between the Moon & the earth would also be Sky Blue because The Space between the earth & the moon was still Sky Blue on July 20th 1969 at 4:18 pm EDT when Man set foot on the Moon: "Houston, Tranquility Base here - the Eagle has landed."

But all pictures from Apollo 11 shows a black sky background.
