[quote:Anonymous Coward 1034753:MV8xMTU2MTk0XzE4NjM1NjkzXzc1QUFBNDgy] We have a similar problem in the Uk with foxes attacking young children and being totally unafraid of humans. I think they learn this from thier parents, and people are nowadays much more tolerant and kinder to wildlife - in their eyes if they do not see us a threat, that means we must be on their lunch menu. Coyote attacks on human prey reports are on the rise as both the human and the coyote populations increase. Across North America coyotes are becoming less afraid of humans and the activities that used to keep them at bay. Fears are the stalking and killing will continue as humans encroach on the areas once considered wild. As the coyotes natural prey diminishes they will look at other food sources and humans are in their sights. With an estimated population of at least 2000 coyotes in the Chicago area it's really just a waiting game until they run out of rabbits and other small animals and start preying on house pets and stalking children playing in backyards and area parks. And it's not just the coyotes it's animals around the world. Elephants cougers, and even stingrays are killing humans at an alarming rate. Read the papers and watch TV. The animals are starting to revolt.
