[quote:Nerplex 841704:MV8xMTY0OTgyXzE4ODE1MTIxX0VCNzQ3MTE5] The best comp I had was IBM. I have nothing but problems with Dell. 4000 dollar xps gaming system and have had it in for repairs five times now in two years. Three other dells are sitting here with fried motherboards. Never go Dell again. I am typing on a Gateway and it is really nice but don't know to much about them. [/quote]

Ok heres the deal. My wife is going to our new house with her mom for a week to set it up and wants/needs a laptop to take. I usually take care of all the puter problems we have. Daughters and wife always changing shit- downloading god knows how much trash.
I was looking at Dells and Toshiba but there are so many out there. I really want to get her a used macbook -or Macpro like I go our daughter but she doesn't want an Apple. Have no idea why. She is not very computer literate .
If you could please throw out some products you or friends have used that are good. Looking to spend between $600.00-700.00.
