[quote:2012Portal:MV8xMTgyNzg2XzE5MTY4MTk4XzNCQ0FCN0ZF] I see these as well from time to time. It is the sun reflecting off of satellites in orbit most of the time, otherwise know as an "Iridium flare." Often you will see the satellite faint and then it expands and grows in brightness and luminosity and then seconds later, fades quickly to not even visible or barely visible. "An Iridium flare is a specific type of satellite flare (also known as satellite glint) made when the antennas of an Iridium communication satellite reflect sunlight directly onto the surface of the Earth. Whoever is looking at the right spot at the right time will see a brief but bright flare in the sky...." http://www.wikihow.com/Find-an-Iridium-Flare
Anybody else been seeing a large Venus like UFO ball of light moving through the night sky?
I have twice now seen a huge ball of light, once it came down right out of the sky and to get a idea of the size, if you held up a nickel to the sky, that is about how round it was. It looked just like huge bright ball of fire. that one only stayed around for about 7 seconds.
The next one which was a few days ago was brightly lit for it's entire journey across the sky and it was about the same size & brightness as vesus.
Anybody else seen this?
Please don't tell me it's the space station, I know better.
Peace,
Michael
