[quote:Anonymous Coward 516195:MV8xMTkxNzg1XzE5MzMyNDM3Xzc2MzY3OEFB] A lot of people don't understand how most sprinklers work. In a wet system where the pipes are always full of water, the heat from a fire will melt a plug stopper that will let water out of the pipe only where the fire is. I would guess that a airplane crash would tend to break the sprinkler pipes so that the system is now just a flow of water out of a broken pipe. This would have little if no effect to put out a fire. Of all the video, and pictures Ive seen...and even stories of victims and surviviors...something just dawned on me.
There were no sprinklers going off, in any of the videos...at all.
Im gonna keep googling this, and maybe someone can find something to prove me wrong.
But I cant remember any pictures of firemen coming out, before the collapses, wet from sprinklers, or any mention of them.
Anyone got anything for this?
Geez, 9 years and this just dawned on me.
