[quote:Anonymous Coward 1079872:MV8xMjAxNDY3XzE5NTE0MTkxXzc0QjVBNEFE] The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, the Beatles, etc. have a substantial fanbase 30-40 years after their heyday and EVERYONE know who they are. They worked from the ground up and didn't have instant fame handed to them. That builds CHARACTER in a musician. Ten years from now people will say "Carrie who?" [/quote]
Original Message
Music nowadays is all garbage. Have you turned on the Top 40 stations lately? It's either degenerate rap or MAJORLY over-processed bubble gum pop crap. Disposable American Idol contestants who become overnight "celebrities" to be forgotten the next day are NOT real musicians like the Beatles or Bob Dylan.
American Idol is to the music industry what McDonald's is to the restaurant industry.
No real substance, no creativity, DISPOSABLE.
