[quote:Anonymous Coward 990606:MV8xMjU3NTMyXzIwNTY4NjIzX0I3N0NCMThF] June 3 flash image: http://blogs.discovery.com/.a/6a00d8341bf67c53ef0133f0dda358970b-800wi CM is Central Meridian in this image, so the flash is actually at 159.4 (L3), -16.1 which is the new disturbance spot: http://www.christone.net/astro/jupiter/jupiter20101117b.jpg [/quote]

The right node of the SEB upwell in this image is also the same location as the June 3, 2010 flash in L3 data.
Don't you find that coincidental?
Look at the central area of Jupiter in the image. The black smudge is what they are calling "SEB Breakout", but they won't mention that it's the same spot as the flash!
L3 data measures the true rotation of Jupiter regardless of cloud movement.
