Cessna 172?  They still around?  I took my son and daughter when they were 11 and 12 on a ride from Linden Airport and we flew around NYC at about 1500 feet. I got some nice pics of the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty.  The trip took a half hour and it cost me $30.  The pilot was just looking for tac time so we got a real bargain.  Now you can't fly around NYC without all kinds of clearances and at 1500 feet?  fugedaboudit.  This was back in 1976 on July 4th.

Another video of it - Guy was a newsman and this is the story they aired. The fact that this guy simply sat there and allowed them to escalate this with his own daughter is pathetic...
