The 'sink' hole depression on the sea floor, could that be the beginning of what happened on that lake with the salt mine below it? But maybe instead of salt, we have frozen methanegas? Double trouble, cause you have the melting gas, which as it melts, sucks in more water, lowering the sea bed plus releasing said gas in to the water, then atmosphere. Which is explosive also.

The displaced seabed now creates first a massive sucking in of water, then as it stabilises, a massive expanding tidal wave, which in an enclosed area like the GoM would continue to resonate back on itself for a long time. Wave after wave.

That's a nightmare scenario.

Original Message After watching the USCG do a HULL INSPECTION on the drilling rig the NEPTUNE in the Gulf of Mexico I noticed that on the site www.marinetraffic.com there was a warning to other ships to "STAY CLEAR 2 MILES"...

Here is a link to the NEPTUNES information and you can see the warning down at the bottom of the page where it says "Destination" is still there...

I have been monitoring the ship traffic in the Gulf of Mexico for months and I have never seen this on any other drilling rigs or ships! I have sent the Marine Traffic website 2 emails inquiring about this and they have not responded... Has any of you ever seen this type of a warning placed on a drilling rig or ship before?
