[quote:2342:MV8xMjc3NTM3XzIwODYzNzYzX0JFMEE4NThC] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1183794] :bsflag: What are you calling BS on AC? The whole concept of downloading a person's brain into a computer as a means of prolonging life. The idea is just shit. Life is much more than simply the sum totality of a person's thoughts and memories. [/quote] i understand where your coming from. And i still think its a great idea. Does this mean that your soul will transfer with your memories, probably not. Could your soul re-attach itself to the new body, i think yes. Thanks for your explanation sounds better than a BS flag. Ian Pearson is a British futurist, cybernetic expert and artificial intelligence researcher.
Some experts say downloading all recorded memories from a brain will be happening before 2020.
If this is being talked about in Public Field it's probably already active underground, don't you think? Because the Mil. is usually at least 40 years ahead of the curve.
Has anyone seen Caprica or Battlestar Galactica?
Caprica is the beginning of the Cylons. They are created the exact same way, by downloading all the memories of an individual into a computer that then turns the memories into an Avatar. This creates a spark of life and turns the Cylons into living beings.
The Digital Immortality Institue (DII) is researching this now.
Anders Sandberg a member of the new transhuman movement (Beyond Human), believes uploading minds and downloading them into new bodies is imminent.
So Cloned bodies with Artificial Intelligence = New Human / Super Human.
This is some incredible technology really. Think about it, cloned bodies with immunities to almost everything, no defects, then downloaded memories combined with new memories / software. The new brain would have a direct connection to the BORG via Wifi.
Another Transhumanist, Al Yudkowky is convinced this technology must be developed befofre a group or gov. with evil intentions does it first.
Do you guys think this is a good idea?
