IBM's blue gene system is specially designed for the task. Many mentors such as Steve Jobs and Bill Gates have virtual versions. They not only act and respond like the original, they are actively working on holographic representation so they can supplement their originators at speaking engagements and the like. A full digital image takes about 90TB of space and requires 5 24-cpu machines with 128gb of ram per to perform at human speeds. When hosted on a blue gene they are many times faster. Watson is a comercially available version of the technology. We are caprica.
I'm going to dig into this.
You can replicate everything but emotions. No one responded to my Hormone comment. But it is the hormones that drive the organic body. A intricate brew of opiates and testosterone, estrogen, vasopressin and oxytocin Without these hormones we are unable to feel. We are unable to be driven to do things. Excitement, lust, love, have no register feelings or effect.
I'm sure they probably have addressed this issue - most likely via genetic/DNA manipulation and cloning - combine the biological with the technological - cyborgs.
Ian Pearson is a British futurist, cybernetic expert and artificial intelligence researcher.
Some experts say downloading all recorded memories from a brain will be happening before 2020.
If this is being talked about in Public Field it's probably already active underground, don't you think? Because the Mil. is usually at least 40 years ahead of the curve.
Has anyone seen Caprica or Battlestar Galactica?
Caprica is the beginning of the Cylons. They are created the exact same way, by downloading all the memories of an individual into a computer that then turns the memories into an Avatar. This creates a spark of life and turns the Cylons into living beings.
The Digital Immortality Institue (DII) is researching this now.
Anders Sandberg a member of the new transhuman movement (Beyond Human), believes uploading minds and downloading them into new bodies is imminent.
So Cloned bodies with Artificial Intelligence = New Human / Super Human.
This is some incredible technology really. Think about it, cloned bodies with immunities to almost everything, no defects, then downloaded memories combined with new memories / software. The new brain would have a direct connection to the BORG via Wifi.
Another Transhumanist, Al Yudkowky is convinced this technology must be developed befofre a group or gov. with evil intentions does it first.
Do you guys think this is a good idea?
