[quote:Follower of YHWH:MV8xMjkyNTk2XzIxMTQ2NjgyXzQxRjNERUEz] [quote:telling it straight 642221] lol. I STARTED my ebay business in jacksonville. that figures... hahaha. West Side mofo !! I miss it... :-( NY SUCKS. lol, really? I'm actually in OP right now, I lost my nice place in Riverside. I'm actually living in a travel trailer on my mom's property right now. Gotta swallow some pride, but that's life. OP, I'm glad you have a secure (albeit humble) place to live. That's going to put you ahead of many others in your situation. My heart and prayers go out to you and all the millions in our country being impacted by this depression the country's in. We are transitioning to a "new normal" that is destroying the life we knew. We will all have to realize that this is no longer the land of opportunity. Survival's going to be the name of the game. By the time this is over, all of us will be effected and many millions more will be unemployed.
I am afraid you are exactly right. I do know that God will provide, He always does, but that doesn't mean things won't be tight. I hope and pray that God continues to provide for us and do the best I know to find work - its all we can ever really do.
Like so many of you out there, my unemployment ran out recently. Unfortunately, my health has also taken a downturn this last few months and now I am honestly a little afraid that I will lose everything. My wife is also on unemployment, she has one more extension that just started. I am hoping I can find a low impact job that doesn't require much physical effort, but I imagine most of those jobs are already taken. I've looked and can't find much. I am considering doing some jewelry sales at the flea market on Saturdays, but that is dangerous because of the chance of theft.
So what do you guys suggest? I can only work about 20 hours a week due to health problems and cannot lift anything due to a herniated disc in my neck (C6-C7). I want to be productive and make a living and not be a burden to society, but I feel my options are limited. My skills are mainly sales and computer repair (minor, not networking). I feel for all of you out there in a similar situation. This is the hardest its ever been in our lifetimes. That doesn't mean we roll over and give up, though. I'm open to your ideas and suggestions...
