ICU Cases Spike To 738 (including 42 children under the age of five)
88 patients with suspected or confirmed flu are currently being cared for on critical care units in hospitals across the West Midlands.
58 patients in Wales are critically ill with flu.
27 patients are fighting for life in Manchester as the region takes the brunt of the swine-flu virus.
Vaccination status Only two people out of 33 had received their jab. Last year's pandemic vaccine was only received by one person out of 30, where information is available.
