As a Christian, I respect the fact that both you and I hold Christ as our Savior.

But to be perfectly honest, the worst event in my life occurred at a Pentecostal church and I will not go back.

At the initial Pentecost it was necessary for the Holy Spirit to allow the disciples of Christ to communicate in various languages; it served a purpose.

Speaking in tongues in this day and age makes no sense and when I hear of people doing so I question that individual's sincerity.

Having said that, there are many individuals in my denomination (Disciples of Christ) who have their own issues as well.
