Original Message WILMINGTON, Del. - January 28, 2011 (WPVI) -- The cause of death has been released in the case of a former presidential advisor who was found dead in a Delaware landfill.

In a news release issued Friday, investigators said that John Wheeler died as a result of blunt force trauma after being assaulted.

Wheeler's body was found at the Cherry Island Landfill in Wilmington on December 31, 2010.
