[quote:Pannonian:MV8xMzQyMDAxXzIyMDg0NjE5XzlEOURBOThG] [quote:508527] they say everything would be determined by the public surveys. what concerns me is they talk about needs only. like wants are some selfish behavior??? sounds like competition of any kind would be frowned on too. since we would all be "equal", would sports be looked down upon because at the end of the game you have a winner and a loser.
It's funny, Zeitgeist 3 said very little in almost 3 hours. Now, this isn't exactly light topic. So to some extent it is understandable. But you don't go out in public with so many important issues untouched. You just don't. Even if it takes 8 years to make a sequel. I'm not sure I'm for this "equality". But I am for non-violence. IF and only IF our guaranteed rights are respected. If you don't hold the other end of the stick, you're getting a beating of your life, sooner or later.
I just downloaded it tonight. Saw it. I'm not impressed. Actually, I'm almost concerned. There's a lot of things that demands explanation... and there is none.
If nature is a dictatorship, are we being proposed to live in one too? Is social dictatorship justification of a natural one?
And what exactly would do all those people who are out of jobs in those perfect cities? In exchange for what? Food and shelter?
Where can you go without currency in your pocket and with a car that is navigated from outer space? And its even not your car, but a public car!
This isn't socialism, this is worse than socialism. What values would such a society hold as its highest? I haven't heard a word about this.
Science alone can't be foundation of society. It can't hold us together, because we have different needs and we want to take different paths in life.
Do we all feel abundant and taken care of by this new power structure?
And who would run this future society? Zeitgeist 3 demands Zeitgeist 4. But I'm not sure I want to see it...
