[quote:domesticangel:MV8xMzU1NDY3XzIyNDM0NDYyX0FDMUEyN0ZD] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1149306] [quote:domesticangel] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1149306] Ok asshole, I said I know it moves, but it won't be on opposites side of the damn sky! The sun in not coming up in it's usual place either.
Touchy aren't we? Resorting to insults? Yes, it can be on the "opposites side of the damn sky". Roughly, at the same time each day, it is in a different position by about 13 degrees. In just a few days it can very well be on the "opposites side of the damn sky". As for the sun, it is also exactly where it is supposed to be. Thousands of people look at the sun and moon every day and yet a few people on a backwater forum know better? Eclipses and transits predicted decades before still happen exactly as predicted. Stonehenge and similar structures still work. Computerized telescopes still work. Explain those.
I didn't insult you. If you don't want to be called an asshole, then don't act like one. YEAH the people on the backwater forum know better. If you don't like it take a hike! But apparently you do, cuz you're here. Never said those things don't work. But I know I can look out my front door or back door and KNOW that the damn sun and moon are NOT where they should be!
That's not an insult? Sure, I bet you say it to all your waiters and cashiers to get better service! You may THINK you know they are not where they should be but for the reasons I stated I and many millions of other KNOW they are. You started out by thinking the Moon couldn't possibly be on the "opposites side of the damn sky" but I showed that was wrong twice now. Instead of realizing what a dumbass you were being you instead immediately reacted with hostility. You want to be ignorant, fine, but don't expect people to not call you on it.
******************************************************* You haven't proven anything! I don't think I know a damn thing. I KNOW if I look out the door and something isn't where it should be, then something isn't right. I react with hostility because you're an asshole! It's not an insult if you're actually being an asshole...and YOU ARE! You believe what you want, and the rest of us will believe the TRUTH!
I know, I know, people are going to say it's always been in that position--
like a "smile"-- but I don't buy that. I showed some of my littler kids, but I
didn't say anything, just showed it to them. Each of them said, "Why is the moon
upside down"? Out of the mouths of babes.
BTW---I'm in Florida. Saw the moon last night @ 10:30 pm.
Perfect "smile" crescent--- with both tips pointing up.
