Revelation 8
The Trumpets
Chapter eight introduces the four elements of the Zodiac; Fire, Air, Earth and Water. The first angels trumpet tells us that the earth was burned with Fire, the second angel informs us that the Water turned into blood, the third that the waters upon the Earth are ruined and the final angel tells us that the sky or Air is affected. In addition to each trumpet representing an element, each trumpet is also capable of spelling out the four elements. 7 The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail (Water) and fire (Fire) mixed with blood, and it was hurled down (From the Sky or Air) on the earth. A third of the earth (Earth) was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
Water Fire Air Earth
The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain (Earth), all ablaze (Fire), was thrown (From the Sky or Air) into the sea. A third of the sea (Water) turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
Earth Fire Air Water
The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star (Sky or Air), blazing like a torch (Fire), fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water (Water on the Earth)— the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.
Air Fire Water Earth
The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun (Fire) was struck, a third of the moon (Water), and a third of the stars (Sky or Air), so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night (Affecting the light on Earth).
Fire Water Air Earth
Finally each set of Fire, Water, Air, Earth represents four distinct zodiac symbols represented by each of the elements out of a possible twelve; this represents the one third that is described by each of the trumpets; four out of twelve or a third.
