I believe lucid dreaming is fine but I'm not sure how you could get closer to the big G' through it.
When you´re lucid, yu can go anywhere and talk to anyone. You can even think about what you will do next.:5a:
I know, I lucid dream all the time. But you can't meat god, you will merely meet what ever you think god might be. So if i want to talk to god, he is going to look, feel, and act the way I think he would. That's not meeting the big G'.
Yes it is.
No it's not, you made him up. If I made you in my dream it doesn't mean it's you, it's just what I think you might be like.
Right, but that's because I exist macrocosmically. "God" is an archetype of a person's psyche... it's not a very Christian perspective, but maybe Gnosticrucian.
Didn't Daniel interpret dreams and didn't God say that in the last days the young people would have visions and the old people would dream dreams or something? Everyone knows about lucid dreaming now and it is mainstream. That alone will probably cause people to go lucid without realizing that it was ingrained in them from hearing people go on and on about it everywhere. What was that movie? Inception or something?
Anyway, could Christians use lucid dreaming to get closer to Christ? Do you think that it would be ok if you had enough discernment? What if God makes you lucid to speak to you or to clarify something for you in the dream realm?
