[quote:Anonymous Coward 1271896:MV8xMzcxNDg4XzIyNjE5NzEwXzQ4REI5QTQ4] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1271896] [quote:exStepfordian] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1271896] They should teach unions 101 in high school. Unions organize workers who are being fucked by the management of poorly run companies. Many well run companies aren't union because they recognize how to properly manage the company and compensate their employees. When a well run company gets sold to some greedy corporate raiders who decide to just steal everything that isn't bolted down and fuck the employees, the union organizers show up. You think the unions fucked GM and Chrysler? Take the time to read about Cerberus Capital and their dealings with GM and Chrysler who went bankrupt and needed a govt. bailout. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerberus_Capital_Management If you can't do this and insist on continuing to regurgitate rush limbaugh and sean hannity, you are a willing fool. Ford didn't go bankrpt or need a bailout and they deal with the same UAW as GM and Chrysler. The only thing missing from the Ford equation is Cerberus Capital.
:applause2: again!
Thanks. Most of these shit talking fools refuse to click on links and educate themselves.
Don't all run off at once. Damn, that Cerberus story must be a good read to those that didn't know. And be sure to take note that they acquired scum sucking bottom feeders Dyncorp last year. Now who do you suppose would like nothing more than to privatize all the govt. union jobs but a good old fraudster operation like Dyncorp? What a coincidence that Cerberus would figure in the demise of GM and Chrysler, which is conveniently blamed on the UAW and then buy a company that likes to defraud the government with fat, poorly audited (or not audited at all)private contracts at a time when every attempt is being made to gut public employee unions. So I was talking to a good friend that is president of a local union where I live. They are planning rallies around the country to support the Wisconsin workers. Unions around the country are getting ready to mobilize and are planning to strike if this trend continues around the U.S.
So this union president was telling me that there has been discussions with the Teamsters and that they may strike if it comes down to it because they see this legislation as all out assault on unions. The Teamsters of course control not all but a good part of the truckers around the country.
So could freight stop or slow down? Maybe. It could definitely slow down food and other goods around the country. Be interesting to see what happens. What say you?
