Original Message Question 1:

The media-marketing form of capitalism the U.S employs almost directly works of of Fear/Gratification modifiers. So by feeding us a new fear of aliens, or the PTB themselves, wouldn't that just stand to help them profit more?

Question 2:

Now what's funny is I have my own argument AGAINST this idea. The PTB have all the money in the world, almost literally. Why would they need more?
