That CH has very much Fizzled out hey!? Thanks for pointing that out,my eyeballs haven't been on the CHs as much recently. South-East looks good to go. http://halpha.nso.edu/movie_90_L.html
watch those CH! they tell the bigger story of the entire magnetic field within the sun so much research done on the coronal holes and the magnetic fields of the sun in solar max i should have spent time long ago to put together something easier to read about it all cause its enough to make anyone go cross eyed :/
I am cool for that kind of data NiNz,no worry bout' moi! I watch the CHs' to track the Suns relative Polarities as they wonder about the beast, seen some pretty interesting things happen in the last 2 Years or whatever it is...is it 3 Years!? Fuck knows. :sun:
good good ^^ thats the main reason i found the vanishing of that coronal hole over a 4 day period SO interesting makes me wonder what bigger stuff is going on within that sun right now we shall see over the next few days if it is anything important or not
NiNz,did I not share thishttp://www.leif.org/research/Solar-Polar-Fields-1966-now.png with you?
nooooo thank you for that!!!!! so they switched then.....
Exactly,no-one would here me though - Even had S0 broadcast it to Thousands, still nowt. Thank you NiNz.
ahhh man.. why the hell not!?! this is huge! but had to look into this closer no flip just yet, it almost did, then stabelized here is the WSO solar dipole http://wso.stanford.edu/gifs/DipallR.gif here is just the North, where we can see it reversed http://wso.stanford.edu/gifs/north.gif and here is just the South, where we can see it when to the very point of reversal, then stopped and stabelized http://wso.stanford.edu/gifs/south.gif with it being THAT close, we could be seeing a solar polar flip at any sek without much notice at all
we can see here that since stabelizing, as stated above, the southern polar field is now growing toward and close to the flip/reverals again. http://wso.stanford.edu/Polar.html (this was the last reported reading on Feb 26th - almost a month back) it would be a bit more than uncommon to see it stabelize once more when it hits the reversal stage
Thanks Ninz!:line up:
By the way, thank you for that last link NiNz! Can't believe I hadn't seen it on that site yet!?
We have just had another huge X flare measuring at a X8.2 originating from sunspot 2673
On September 11, 2017
[

]
ALL flares recorded ARE Earth facing regardless of where the sunspot is located
-----------
CME FROM X9 HAS ARRIVED!
Issue Time: 2017 Sep 07 2242 UTC
WARNING: Geomagnetic Sudden Impulse expected
Valid From: 2017 Sep 07 2255 UTC
Valid To: 2017 Sep 07 2330 UTC
IP Shock Passage Observed: 2017 Sep 07 2229 UTC
On September 6th we have had 2 X flares! A X2.2 at 09:10 utc & a secend larger flare just a few hours later of X9.3 at 12:02 utc. There is a large widespread Earth directed CME associated with this latest X flare as we can see here

An update as to the arrival time of this CME will be added once all data has been reviewed.
The X9.3 flare is the 14th largest X flare ever recorded!
On September 4th we had 7 M flares from fast growing sunspot 2673, with at least 1 large dense Earth directed CME. This CME will arrive late in the day on Wednesday September 6th.
There is now a 25% chance for X flares over the next 24hrs & 71% chance for M flares
We have a Long Duration M2.4 Solar Flare starting
01:05 UTC July 14th 2017
There was a full halo CME observed with this solar flare. The associated CME is Earth Directed. See discussion on the last page for all updates!
