So now I see this is going to be really serious.
well whats the worse that could come from this?
An EMP could come (bye bye electronics). But the greater risk is for several M flares in a row that will end triggering one big quake probably like what happened prior to Japan's EQ.
I met a retired mechanical engineer who worked for Westinghouse. He was in the nuclear reactor division. I asked if the computers, pumps, and backup generators were shielded from an external electromagnetic surge. He said not at all. The 1859 Carrington Event was the largest known solar storm with flare and CME striking Earth. The best preparation seems to be disconnecting electric and electronic devices from use during the storm. nuclear power is safe in an Electric Universe. Most rectors (and all western world) have containment systems to specifically prevent/contain meltdown. RBMK's (Chernobyl) did not have containment systems because the Soviets built thier reactors as dual purpose to give them the option to extract weapon grade plutonium. And since Chernobyl these have all been upgraded to prevent the possibily of meltdown. I was under the impression water was required to cool the core of reactors. Without pumps to supply the water, and computers to direct things, and motors to shut things down, might not there be a problem? Often things are engineered wonderfully, then an accountant comes along looking for savings. No offense to accountants. On other occasions, expert engineers are often surprised that bridges and dams fail. Coolant is only one the systems to prevent meltdown. If that fails the sealed containment building itself is the final option. Coolant is to prevent meltdown, once that's failed it doesn't matter about the electric and pumps. RBMK's didn't have that final failsafe. I think that the vulnerability of unshielded printed circuits is rather obvious in an Electric Universe. I hope the events in Japan have given nuclear reactor proponents a moment of pause. If the Earth does experience a EM pulse in the future, the last thing the survivors need are 1,000 reactors spewing radiation. After being told our existing reactors are safe by the experts, i don't trust these same experts to design gravity supplied cooling reactors. They might also have problems in an Electric Universe. if comet elenin comes close or fragments we could run a local test on one or 2 reactors for emp effects see how we feel when the time comes  i imagine
you bring up a excellent point when talking about a EM pulse it is not only our comforts that will be taken away in an instant (i think most of us are prepared for this) but we now see the risk this brings up with the reactors around the world. A EMP would also instantly take out the electric at all effected nuclear plants. It would be nice if this thought was taking into consideration within the nuclear facilities so that this can be prevented
We have just had another huge X flare measuring at a X8.2 originating from sunspot 2673
On September 11, 2017
[

]
ALL flares recorded ARE Earth facing regardless of where the sunspot is located
-----------
CME FROM X9 HAS ARRIVED!
Issue Time: 2017 Sep 07 2242 UTC
WARNING: Geomagnetic Sudden Impulse expected
Valid From: 2017 Sep 07 2255 UTC
Valid To: 2017 Sep 07 2330 UTC
IP Shock Passage Observed: 2017 Sep 07 2229 UTC
On September 6th we have had 2 X flares! A X2.2 at 09:10 utc & a secend larger flare just a few hours later of X9.3 at 12:02 utc. There is a large widespread Earth directed CME associated with this latest X flare as we can see here

An update as to the arrival time of this CME will be added once all data has been reviewed.
The X9.3 flare is the 14th largest X flare ever recorded!
On September 4th we had 7 M flares from fast growing sunspot 2673, with at least 1 large dense Earth directed CME. This CME will arrive late in the day on Wednesday September 6th.
There is now a 25% chance for X flares over the next 24hrs & 71% chance for M flares
We have a Long Duration M2.4 Solar Flare starting
01:05 UTC July 14th 2017
There was a full halo CME observed with this solar flare. The associated CME is Earth Directed. See discussion on the last page for all updates!
