[quote:Anonymous Coward 910164:MV8xMzg1MTA1XzIyODQyNDk0X0UxNzFDMDg0] [quote:Gloomy] My parents never really lied to me... In fact they were a little too blunt sometimes. They did lie to me when I asked if I had ever been tested for ADD in elementary school, I later found out from reading my records that I had been tested several times and they thought I had it. I was never medicated for it though because my mom didn't believe ADD existed. I could have saved years of not being able to focus, skipping school, acting like an idiot, if I had just been zombied out like all the other kids on Ritalin.
Same here 'G', I didnt learn of my ADD until my son was diagnosed with it. Then it was like "That's my problem too!". Feeling better with medication now.
I had two "pet" chickens that one day mysteriously disappeared from the back yard. When I asked my parents what happened to them, I was told that while trying to escape the yard they both got their heads stuck under a fence. I was told there was no other way to get them out,so to free them from under the fence and put them out of their misery, my father had to use an axe to chop their heads off.
I awoke the next morning to the smell of chicken soup ...but still it was only much later I realised the deception!
