Why is it, that EVERY SINGLE KID, WHO EVER WENT TO SCHOOL,
MISpronounced the word "Niger" which is the name of a central african country, and today they get mad at the kid ?
first off, kids are simple, and they dont know what you dont teach them.
if you are a school teacher on here, listen very carefully.
You taught the kid to say the letter G, in english.
G has the Guh sound.
I.e. Good, Goo, Glue, etc.
you DO NOT tell him that the letter G, can also be pronounced as a J.
I.e. Jelly, Jam, Jar, Jail etc.
then you teach the kid geography, and get mad at him because he Pronounced the letter G in "Niger" as the blunt, ie Good, Goo, Glue.
sounding like the racial slur.
His intent is not racist, he's only sounding the word out, as you told him to.
so wtf do they get mad at the kid ?
fuck that shit !
a geography teacher who sends the kid to "time out" needs to be fucking FIRED.
