In the first video where you get absorbed by the light if i was caught in that scenario and couldn't escape i would use the gravity momentum to accelerate my self like a bullet and go there like a fast madman attacking and destroying everything in front of me until this weapon/trap is destroyed and able to continue like a free soul swimming around the soul dimension.

Similar strategy was shown in the movie "sherlock holmes a game of shadows" where a fisherman caught a shark which jumped on his boat ate the fisherman took his smoking pipe too and walked away like boss.

Similar strategy i had seen in an old movie don't remember the name now where a white guy was caught by an indian/mongolian/snake tribe and put him on a tug war against their champion, in their middle there was a big hole full with snakes. The white guy was losing and right before he fell into the hole with snakes he use the momentum of his enemy that was pulling him and run and jump over the hole to his side and start beating the crap out of him! then jumped onto his side and pulled that mongol lizard into the hole full with snakes.
