I saw on TV today (the Doctors) that prescribed allergy medicines cause weight gain. I had do idea.
I've been taking advair and singulair for 3 years for severe asthma I suddenly developed 3 years ago with a horrible bout of pneumonia.
Anyway, back then I gained 30 lbs in 2 months. I'd never had a weight problem ever in my life! I was always naturally thin and I ate right and exercise. He'll when I had my last kid I came home from the hospital wearing a size 4.
Anyway, I thought it was the Advair causing the weight gain because it is a low dose steroid. Today I started looking at Singulair and weight gain, and I'll be damned if there aren't hundreds of people complaining about this side effect.
Has anyone here experience weight gain from allergy medicine?
