[/quote] My daughter started with a hacking caugh which became a stomach problem that got worse until they put her in the hosp.--said she has developed an abcess in her colen--had to put in a drain tube and have been giving her all kinds of anti-biotics(some through an IV--they say they need to do surgery but can't get the thing to respond to treatment--am really concerned about the possibility of this being something she has breathed in--the drs. are puzzled. I went to IKEA yesterday and witnessed kids sick and adults unable to do simple tasks.
OK that sounds like a typical day at IKEA, but yesterday what I witnessed was unusual even for Los Angeles.
We were sitting next to a family and this small child got up and took a few steps then vomited. Of course I didn't think that was unusual but 5 mins later a young boy just dropped. He passed out and vomited a small amount. The parents were holding him and this kid was not looking so good. IKEA called the paramedics.
I was in the store about an hour and most people seemed sluggish and a little out of it.
We had rain a couple days ago and after witnessing how people were acting in public I started thinking these kids may have had more than a flu.
All I can say is, being in the public felt different yesterday. By the time my family got home we were left with such a sadness it was difficult to fall asleep.
I believe I saw more than flu and I'm wondering if other people might be witnessing the same.
