[quote:Anonymous Coward 1194370:MV8xNDQ4MzIxXzIzODc4NjM4X0Q0QTI1ODI2] [quote:Once4All] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1194370] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1194370] Hello, If anyone would share their thoughts... Speaking of his return, What do you think Jesus meant when he asked the question; LUKE 18:8 ...Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? TIA.
Would anyone kindly share any thoughts or views regarding this? If not, I am sorry to trouble.
I'm sorry... i saw this before but forgot to respond. My first reaction is that it must have motivated the Apostles and then the early church to spread the gospel according to the commission He gave them before He Ascended. My second reaction is that we who are still living 2000 years later must still spread the gospel to make it know. God did not choose the Angels to preach the Good news to the poor. He chose us! Why... what are you thinking???
Thanks for your reply, I do not know exactly, but I ponder if there is a deeper meaning as so many verses provide. He may be saying there will be no faith when he returns? He may be eluding that so few will have faith that it will be hard to spot when he returns. I cannot say with certainty. In Luke 18:1, scripture seems to provide an overview of the parable... "Always pray and do not faint" - and it concludes with this seemingly rhetorical question/statement. For me, it is an indication that many (perhaps all?) will have fainted and become so weary. Many (perhaps all?) will have given up prayer and fainted in the sight of such abounding iniquity. I suppose with such a statement, I find a desire to focus moreso on those things. My prayer today is that men do not give up prayer and do not faint. That love would adibe and (if possible) grow stronger in the LORD as the day grows nearer. My prayer is that he will find faith and faithfulness. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. peace,
It seems clear to me by current events and God's Holy Word that our planet will become a toxic wasteland.
