Original Message Okay, I was listening to the radio and this guy was asking how many miles our national debt would be if we stacked $1.00 bills on top of each other.

Given info:

Current debt: 14,286,247,307,360.00 (fourteen trillion, two hundred eighty-six billion, two hundred forty-seven million, three hundred seven thousand, three hundred sixty) Whew!

5280 feet in a mile = 63,360 inches per mile

A stack of 100, $1.00 bills is about 1/2 inch.

How many miles does a stack off $1.00 bills at the amount of our current national debt go?
