*Also, in ancient Roman religion, the Parilia is an agricultural festival performed annually on April 21, aimed at cleansing both sheep and shepherd. It is carried out in acknowledgment to the Roman deity Pales, a god of shepherds and sheep of uncertain gender.
*Riḍván is a 12 day festival in the Bahá'í Faith, commemorating the commencement of Bahá'u'lláh's prophethood. It begins at sunset on April 20 and continues until sunset, May 2. Work and schooling may be suspended. "Ridván" means paradise, and it is the most holy Bahá'í festival, and is also referred to as the "Most Great Festival" and the "King of Festivals".

The well then created the largest oil spill in U.S. history by constantly gushing oil through the damaged wellhead. People along the Gulf Coast are working to clean oil from the Gulf and stop the rig from leaking with support from BP.
