[quote:Anonymous Coward 1106916:MV8xNDU0MTE2XzIzOTkwMjQzXzJBNTA0MUY0] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1309528] [quote:Lisa*Lisa] I thought long and hard about buying an old vehicle for this very reason, EMP. Then I decided not too. Here's why. In the event of an EMP, all cars on the road will stop. All roads and highways will be blocked with millions of vehicles. So your old vehicle might still run, but you won't be going anywhere with it unless you can miraculously fly over the millions of stranded cars. Now a motorcycle would be a better choice because you can weave in and out of all of the disabled cars. Food for thought.
With the bus you can camp and stop almost anywhere and be much better off. Depending on conditions, alternate routes can be found.
Where you doing to get all the gas you'll need for that? In the event of something really devastating, there will be no gas either. A bus takes a huge amount of gas, that is if you can even get somewhere with the millions of cars and trucks making all roads impassable. Really, think about it, I already did. A motorcycle will be the only way you can travel if this ever happens, and even that will be difficult and slow going.
I do, it's a 1992 Ford F-250 with all mechanical injection, nothing electronic makes it run. It's a 5 speed 7.3 diesel. I can start it, take the battery out and it keeps running. Anyone else have anything like this?
