Original Message Well, well... it was just a matter of time; in the name of public security, starting next year, all phones in the US will be required to have in them a chip from the government. Supposedly this is so that all phones will be able to receive public safety text messages, or messages from Our Beloved Leader [/sarcasm] but I'm guessing it will do a lot more than that... like track our positions, snoop our texts, etc.
