[quote:weegie:MV8xNTEyMzk4XzI0OTQxODQ4XzdEMUQ0NEI3] [quote:Bennu] Your body is over reacting that is why you’re suffering so badly. My advice: try to cut down on the medication and purifiers and let your body build its immune system to the allergies. I suffer from hay fever but try my best not have any antihistamine; only in small doses will I have any medication. Your body will adapt and come next year your body will not react so much to the allergens. Hope that helps. :hf:
Ha...sounds like the story of my life...didn't work. I finally, at age 60, got tested for allergies. I'm very allergic to grass, weeds, trees, and most kinds of molds and mildly allergic to some other stuff. Was supposed to take antihistamines in prep for having the shots...but I'm allergic to the medicine, too. I felt lousy before I googled the side effects and noticed that they included hallucinations and suicide. Considering just how bad I felt after only 3 doses, I can certainly understand the suicide part. Better since I stopped taking the meds today. I'm glad this worked for you, Bennu, guess it's worth a try...but it doesn't work for everyone. OP, have you tried a neti pot/nasal rinse? Some people say they really help.
Seriously, seasonal fucking allergies! The air cleaner is running, took zyrtec, nasal spray, A/C is running (filter is clean), and my forehead still feels like it is going to explode! Anyone have any old school remedies? I'm about to use alkalol, but that stuff is hardcore. lol.
Oh, and to all who were reminded of the song... [
