[quote:Nosaj:MV8xNTI1MjU5XzI1MTY1Mzc0XzkzM0E2RjQ1] [quote:Anthony's Wiener] all the basic things we take for granted today will become luxury items post SHTF. take toilet paper for instance, imagine life with NO TP to wipe your ass, and baths/showers few and far between. collect big fat phone books for free now, they make good TP later!
I love the GLP effect, so many great ideas. Love the one about the phone book. When I used to hike often in the woods/mountains and ran out I would use soft leaves, which were not too bad. I would have absolutely preferred phone book paper. Nice one!
Think about it.
In a real SHTF scenario what is gold worth when there is no monetary system and everyone is on survival mode full blast? I would think most places that get looted people would be taking as much coffee as they can (use/shelf-life/trade value, etc.)
So do you think it is a good idea to start stocking/freezing bulk cans of coffee?
