It's very effective when you are down about yourself, as you want to hear things that lift you up, give you back security at any whim, as you remember your self worth once again (how'd you forget it to begin with?)
As if suddenly there is a reason to live! (because somehow there was never any reason for the universe or anything to exist and it was all pointless)
Going through life never finding a lover can send someone into a "hate of self" mode. Another emotion that clouds the minds functioning. (drown yourself in alcohol to numb the pain, and it becomes addictive through the effect).
As soon as those types do think they found it, it will be an overwhelming sensation, the hearts a robotic piece of meat and is affected by many chemicals and emotions,
"but the thing is, it's a sensation you are unfamiliar and inexperienced with, and can render the most robust of humans automated."
As the emotional thinking clouds the minds logic calculating, the "rollercoaster ride" kicks in and your carried along with it, thinking it's the best ride of your life.
No ones ever in control of a rollercoaster ride, as the track is already laid out and planned.
Your taken through some boring parts, like the slow climb up, the straight predictable areas, the small speed inhibitors.
Then the ride hits the zippy zabulous thrilling parts.
But they only last a few seconds. A great sensation, but as the ride travels up to the end, you dont want that, and you want the rollercoaster to keep going past the end and start it once more.
Now it's become an addiction. So what you thought was something with substance and divine, ends up being an emotional addictive stimulant.
Couples are "addicted" to each other from the emotional stimulating, and mistake this for love. (easy to do as lust has the exact same effect).
It's a pure entrapment in the form of the rebirth cycle,

Easy to fall victim too.
Earth is in a very secluded dark part of the Galaxy, a quarantine if you will, so far away from everything. Were floating around with dead planets, asteroids, ice chunks and space junk. It's very easy to mistake something divine when it is packaged in a formula based on "sell you something that benefits us more than it benefits you"
Be very cautious about love.
