When I was very young I was a proficient track and field runner. I had natural talent or ability to run, I was athletic, so I didn't train much.... I was leading a one mile race once, I was doing better than anyone expected including myself, led more then three quarters of the way. Almost to the finish line and one racer goes by me then another. I was running out of fuel it was excruciating to continue running, but I managed. As soon as I crossed the line I past out cold. Never happened to me before and never has it since. I finished third not first. But I did finish the race, out of perseverance. I didnt get the accolades I was getting during the race from the crowd but I finished the race. I tried really hard, whether for accolades or just shear determination I did finish the race. 2 Timothy 4:7
