The world can be a very simple place. We have a unencumbered life, with few real worries save what we will do for entertainment next week. Then something mystical happens and we encounter the Source and Son and Spirit, and our lives are changed. We no longer live just to live. We no longer live just to find friends and have companions and family. We die to self and live for the Source.

At first, it can be an abundant life and full of joy. Maybe we're lucky and never tested. But most of us who do believe will have a dark night of the soul. All of the disciples did. None of them had easy lives, and if faithful, why should we expect to be any different?

It would be far easier when the SHTF, to just take care of “me and mine”. That's the response of the “natural man”. (1 Corinthians 2). It seems folly to them to live the life taught by the words and actions of the Source.
There are even Christians who say, not to worry, “Let Go and Let God”, as if that means anything. Imagine saying that to Peter when hung upside down on the cross. “Peter, just let go and let God.”

What does the Son say? If you love me, “Feed my lambs, tend my sheep, feed my sheep”. Jesus doesn't say, “Let go and let God.” He also doesn't say, “God helps those who help themselves.” Ben Franklin did.

We are called to take up the cross and work to help others. And since the Son said it, I'll do it, in my own rag tag way, with many missteps since I'm weak and without wisdom at times.

We're not called to hole up in a safe place and ride out the storm. We're called to be prepared like the wise maidens who had their lamps ready. Or wise Yosef who stored wheat for many years and saved not only his family, but the entire nation of Egypt and many nations who bought food from them. And from this and our skills, we'll help who we can, when we can, and live our lives not in fear, but in the abundance of Love that comes from believing in the Source.
We live this life to serve the Source and the people who are part of his creation. Then if we die and we'll pass into the realm of Heaven. Else we are selfish and don't obey.

Original Message There are many free homeschooling sites with pdf files. It would be great to have them just in case there are issues.

Get medications that your kids need. See if your doctor will prescribe 3 months supplies for them.

Get some presents tomorrow for Christmas. Little gifts that you could give out not only then, but throughout the year as incentives. They'll really appreciate them.

Children can thrive in the woods as long as they have calm parents. They cannot keep up with your pace up and down tails. You've got to plan adequately if you do have to walk some.

Kids are used to incorrectly using a backpack since kids at school wear them in the wrong fashion, which adds too much stress to their lower back. You'll have to reteach them how to buckle it properly and position it higher than they used to wearing it.

Try to make gathering wood into a game. Teach them as much about nature as possible. Being quiet is as important as talking.

Kids love open fires. Tell stories. It can simply be times when they did wonderful things when they were younger. They love hearing how much you love and adore them. Even teens.

Hug and kiss them often. Be generous with your affection. Lavish it on them
