Oh good!  I'm safe, then!  I used to make that hard candy at Christmas, but I can't cut it anymore.  That's why I've been buying the molds.  I just haven't used them yet!LOL

Can you make peanut brittle in them??  I just love home made peanut brittle.

Did you ever check the dollar store for the silicone molds that are about one or two inches, I use them for soap sometimes and they just pop right out.  I have hearts, stars, ginger bread man, flowers, christmas trees, snowflakes,and snowmen.  They cost a buck a peice.

No, these are too small for peanut brittle.  The candies are between cough drop size and starlight mint size.  I'll have to look at the silicone molds.  Never thought about making candy in them.  I wonder if I could make floating candles with them?  I sick of paying a ton for them, IF I can find them.

so far this year, we have canned...

green beans
yellow wax beans
peas
peaches
plums
zuchinni
sweet pickle relish

i'm going to try making my own fruit pie filling.

trying my hand at canning potatoes also.

finished the green beans while i was trying to write this. 14 quarts and 15 pints.

i'm going to edit this first post. moving pics to another post and will start the index of recipes and pictures.
