[quote:tiger1:MV8xNjUxMjg2XzI3MjgwODI4X0ZDRERBOUJC] [quote:BillyBob:MV8xNjUxMjg2XzI3Mjc5Njg4X0YzRjRCNDYw] Family: Pit bull saved boy, 9, from abduction Fort Collins - A family's pit bull saved a 9-year-old from being abducted from his backyard, and police searched Tuesday for the suspect. "Destiny" came to the aid of the boy Monday night as a stranger allegedly was pulling him over the fence. The dog charged the assailant, who let go of the child and fled, according to the family. "I got her to protect my kids," Wayne Myers, the boy's father, said of his 2-year-old dog. "I love pit bulls to death." Myers said he became aware that something was wrong while working on a car in his driveway in the 3000 block of West Laporte Avenue about 7:20 p.m. "Destiny started barking, and it wasn't playful," Myers said. http://www.gopitbull.com/pitbull-news/37612-family-pit-bull-saved-boy-9-abduction.html
Exactly !!! Bull Terriers were originally family dogs, and even the U.S. Military used them during WW1. My Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Sheba, is a very meek, mild mannered dog, who does nothing but eat, sleep, and play. She constantly kisses everyone, even our Abyssinian cat, Thomas. They even sleep together. A dog is what you make it out to be. Raise them with love, and as a member of the family, and there will be no problems. The breed doesn't matter, it is how you raise them.
Several breeds, including
Rottweilers
, and in a famous San Francisco case, the
Presa Canario
, have fatally attacked humans. It is the
pit bull
, however, that is responsible for the majority of attacks on humans and is most often the target of legislative bans.

Mastino Napoletano
to the list...
