Another student came into her office and mentioned Occupy Wall Street and how it's spreading throughout the country. She really urged me to attend and be supportive for change...I said, "Well, don't you think the people in power want us to be protesting? So they can enforce a military state not too long from now?" She agree with me. But still told me how important it is for the youth to have their voices heard. She agreed with me that we are going through a spiritual awakening. A lot of you are so judgmental of the subject, of the people who truly see faults in this world. Maybe they don't know everything, but do you? I can't say that Occupy Wall Street is a good thing, I can't say it's bad. I honestly don't know enough about this yet to give my opinion. But I was inspired today by my professor's lack of fear. What matters is UNITY. I see more unity in this protest than the people sitting at home, choosing to ignore what is coming. Protest or not, tptb will still be in control.
Exactly! Its all we can do at this point. Do you think the world knew gandhi's peacful protest was going to be a society changing contibution? No. We don't know if this could be one of those. I feel the unity in it too. Alt news medias around the world are reporting from the protesters point of view. Our news is the only news that is pretending its a leaderless, pointless rally that with fizzle out. The people afriad of this oncoming unity conciousness want to say that. TPTB are pullin the strings on this one. I believe that they are trying to take credit for it so they can steer it off coarse. We wont let them do that. We have every bit of protest hijacking abiltiy as they do. If they steal our peaceful protest, well steal it back. Lol simple as remaining peaceful and voicing your voice and sharing love. That's it. We can change the world.
Yes that has been proven recently, hasn't it.
“Professors are asking their classes to take the day to actually go to this rally,” Rivera said.
Some students at Brooklyn College heeded the call and joined the protest early Wednesday afternoon. About 150 students walked out of class at Brooklyn College to join the Wall Street protesters.
