[quote:Anonymous Coward 36457313:MV8xNjc0NTY2XzM2NzM1MzczX0JBOUM4NTFB] OMG! I requested and paid extra for the non-wireless SM to be safer and I am regretting it. Ever since they installed it, my issues are the same as this person. Its like living in an electrical slow cooker. We drove two hours down state on saturday and the tinnitus all but disappeared. On the way back home we could feel and hear the tinnitus building about 60 miles from home until it was painful again like before we left. Unbelievable! I requested a wireless meter to replace mine. I can at least mitigate the RF but this PLC in killing us slowly. How can this be happening? [quote:GridSick 21722420:MV8xNjc0NTY2XzMyNzU0NzkyXzk3QTI4NjA4] The power company in Idaho says that their smart meters are "wired" and therefore "safer" than the wireless meters. This is total BS. When a "wired" smart meter was placed on my house I became so fatigued that it was an effort to get dressed in the morning. Along with that came an irregular heartbeat, dizziness, anxiety, constant high pitched buzzing in the ears plus the sound of a low frequency hum similar to an idling diesel engine. Complaints to the power company were met with total denial that their device was causing this and then I forwarded 5 pages of propaganda regarding the beneficial smart meter. Their explanation still made it clear that the only ones to benefit from these devices are the utility providers and the manufacturers of "smart" appliances. The customer will not benefit in any way. Just before the smart meter system was turned on in our area numerous new cell towers and high powered antennas were installed all over town and contiune to be installed. The majority of new antennas belong to the power company, their information control company, and the City which is installing "smart" water meters. I purchased a high frequency analyzer to determine if my "wired" meter was truly only wired and anything to do with the plethora of new antennas. Sure enough, my meter puts out powerful GSM, UMTS, and WLAN wireless signals. Also, my refrigerator emits a WLAN signal. I forgot to mention that since the meter was placed on my house I can no longer use cellphones, WiFi, or WLAN and can no longer access certain areas of town or stores without getting sick. So now my time in the kitchen of my own house is restricted. It also makes no difference if I unplug the refrigerator - that WLAN activated chip inside it keeps on emitting the signal. The Power lines around town are now using broadband over power line for their "communication". The lines are acting as antenna for cell tower and other wireless signals and carry these into my home. Powerlines are unshielded and unable to contain these high frequencies and therefore the radiation is going into whatever is nearby - be it a house, person, animal, or ground. In fact, in a BPL whitepaper, it refers to the wiring in houses as 'power lines' and your electrical outlets as nodes. So your meter is communicating on your power lines to your nodes collecting info about your "electrical" habits and can sense the occupancy of a home. The lowest radiofrequency read in my house is 800MHz - that's a constant exposure to microwaves 24/7. I've had an ENT doctor tell me that my head noise is just tinnitus. It's funny because after spending a week in a cabin without a smart meter that "tinniuts", fatigue, and irregular heartbeat disappeared until I returned home to that smart meter. BTW, even though the smart meters in an area may look the same and have the same serial numbers, they may be programmed differently. The meters have at least two antennas, they be in a mesh network and you may be the unfortunate one to have the "collector" meter which means that your exposure to radiation will be exponential, but of course, considered safe because of skewed FCC standards. Also, the radiation outside the 'smart meter' house has increased dramatically because of the other meters in the area, BPL on powerlines, and antennas mounted on poles or buildings to collect and transmit smart meter data. The power companies will soon be closing power plants, citing pollution or climate change concerns. They will produce less power and will charge you much more for it - as soon as they've accomplished their goal of wiring BPL across the continent and placing radiating devices on the majority of homes in America. Then, prepare for the rolling blackouts and the blame being put on you, the consumer, for using too much electricity (water or gas) when in reality you've cut back usage because of the high utility bills. It's a sadistic plan that cause much suffering and will eventually turn America into a third world country. Oh, foil faced anything helps to block RF from coming into the house! Aluminum screen is great too.

It's pretty easy just go down to lowes and get some aluminum mesh. [
